What a real financial collapse looks like

Documentary on the events that led to the economic collapse of Argentina in 2001 which wiped out the middle class and raised the level of poverty to 57.5%. Central to the collapse was the implementation of neo-liberal policies which enabled the swindle of billions of dollars by foreign banks and corporations. Many of Argentina’s assets and resources were shamefully plundered. Its financial system was even used for money laundering by Citibank, Credit Suisse, and JP Morgan. The net result was massive wealth transfers and the impoverishment of society which culminated in many deaths due to oppression and malnutrition.

Truly it may be said that the outside of a mountain is good for the inside of a man.

I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.

Was cleaning up and found this photo with nice light. I think my bro Luke took it but not sure since he is in the photo too. Hmm.
If you are after some enlightening weekend reading, dig into this breakdown of the breakdown.

Whatup Sun?

Why has the Sun been so quiet recently? No one is sure. Our Sun has shown few active regions — that house even fewer associated sunspots — for over a year now, and such a period of relative calm is quite unusual. What is well known is that our Sun is in a transitional period between solar cycles called a Solar Minimum, where solar activity has historically been reduced. The stark lack of surface tumult is unusual even during a Solar Minimum, however, and activity this low has not been seen for many decades.
Besides the tranquility on the Sun’s surface, recent data from the Ulysses spacecraft, across the Solar System, indicate that the intensity of the solar wind blowing out from the Sun is at a fifty year low.

Hopped on a train for a quick hour and a half trip to Munich to meet up with Jeff Lin from Hybrid Studios (who I have known for 4 years and spoken to many, many times online, but up until today had never met in person) and MP from BMW.munchen2 Oktoberfest (sort of)

Octoberfest is on in full effect, so we headed over to check it out, but no ticket for a tent means no beer, so after battling the crowds we bailed to a nearby bar to have some beers.

‘Top automakers including General Motors Corp (GM) and Ford warned of tough times as the Paris Auto Show opened on Thursday amid concerns that slowing demand could force production cuts and job losses. ‘
They say ‘could’  but data out today points to this already happening with factory orders down and job losses up.
Ah man, the bad news is coming thick and fast.
None the less, how cool is this new Citroën GT Concept?
