Featured on bike exif a few weeks back but I just found this different angle on flickr. Really like the bike, especially this type of bars for a change rather than the usual clubman bars.

I.E.A. World Energy Outlook 2010

Soooo, energy use is due to increase massively……

energydemand I.E.A. World Energy Outlook 2010
Crude oil production is due to decline…

worldoilproduction2010 I.E.A. World Energy Outlook 2010

Lot of oil to come (supposedly) in the near future from fields which haven’t even been found yet.

Peak oil is not just here — it’s behind us already.

That’s the conclusion of the International Energy Agency, the Paris-based organization that provides energy analysis to 28 industrialized nations. According to a projection in the agency’s latest annual report, released last week, production of conventional crude oil — the black liquid stuff that rigs pump out of the ground — probably topped out for good in 2006, at about 70 million barrels a day. Production from currently producing oil fields will drop sharply in coming decades, the report suggests.

The I.E.A.’s stance that 2006 will be the year global supplies of conventional oil reached their ultimate peak is a more pessimistic take than its previous assessments. In 2008, the organization projected that conventional oil production would continue to slowly climb for several more decades.

This is quite interesting too, basically shows why there will be no hope of future generations (myself included) ever retiring.

Maurice from Dutchman photos sent me these sick shots of KTM factory rider Jeffrey Herlings tearing it up. Loads of other great photos on his site and blog too.

PSP concept bike 3

It’s rather addictive this bike design thing. This one started with a KTM 690 r base, Superduke front mudguard and then I moved on to making  everything else custom. Hard to put it into a box as to which kind of bike it is. As with the other two concepts below I just took lots of things I like from lots of different bikes and remixed it all up into this.

Not a massive Harley fan, but I do like the XR 1200′s.

In other new’s, thanks partly to Bernanke creating another 600billion dollars out of thin air to monetize America’s debt, oil has now reached it’s highest level for over 2 years which unless it drops back down again will more likely than not start to crash the world economy again as the price of petrol, food and other essentials rise along with oil. Since millions of Britons (and they are certainly not alone) are already living beyond their means I cant see how  commodity price inflation is meant to in anyway help the world economy.

FrankenSMtein bike

Ok, it’s blatantly too high to be a dirt tracker, too impractical to be an mx bike, and the seat wouldn’t work so well for supermoto. So what is it? Well, just my weird concept bike I guess! I love the sound and power of 2 strokes, I love the look of flat trackers, I love the handling of supermotos and I am dreaming of getting a bike for the road next summer so this weird hybrid is kind of all of that mixed up together.

On a separate note, thanks to bubble visor for the post on us.

So basically, I love MX bikes, and I love classic bikes, so I thought why not try a hybrid Frankenstein Mad max version of the 2? I used a KTM EXC base, a (modified) custom Triumph seat and tank, dropped the suspension and then made various bits and pieces for it in photoshop.

My first (and possibly last!) bike design.

Triumph at EICMA

Triumph was one of the real standouts at the show for me. Their stand was nice but there was also a custom hall which was stacked with wicked Triumphs.
