Had a nice chat with the Master of the Thunderdome at Armada who has done some wicked Graphics for the new Armada skis.

Munich Winter ISPO 2012
Got loads of photos from Munich ISPO. Will take me a few days to go through em but there was some nice design on display.

this is what winter sports is all about (at least for me anyway) although in the maze/haze of ISPO it’s easy to overlook…

Seeing and using nicely designed products is no doubt one of life’s pleasures too though.

and of course seeing well done gfx too

all captured with me trusty old 550D, with 35mm prime lens

less art on display this year. No spacejunk exhibition. Shame.

2012 AMA Supercross Lites Rd 4 Oakland Main Event
Crazy race, so many mistakes and crashes! Great ride for Musquin too.
Dungey 4th in Oakland, retains red plate; Musquin 2nd in Lites Rd. 4

Oakland, Jan 28, 2012 – Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey put in another great showing in Round 4 of the AMA Supercross on Saturday night to finish in fourth place to maintain his top finishes and hold onto the red number plate. Factory teammate Marvin Musquin also excelled in the Lites class to be on the podium in second.
Dungey had a strong showing at Oakland in the early afternoon, earning second fastest lap time of the combined practice sessions. He topped his impressive practice time with his first heat win of the season in the opening SX class heat race to lead from holeshot to checkered flag for the top gate pick in the main event.
While he failed to get away cleanly in the main and rounded the first corner in 12th position he quickly began to pick off riders even though the lead pack was pulling away. By the halfway point he was top five and in lap 12 he slipped by Andrew Short into fourth. Dungey’s speed and stamina were impressive throughout the twenty lap main but the time he spent through the pack had allowed the top three to pull out of reach. He crossed the line in a strong fourth again underlining his consistency and continues to hold onto the coveted red plate as standings leader.

690 Duke 2012 photos
Itching to get my mitts on one of these. Amazing how much better it looks from stock with a few nice powerparts.

First Ride: 2012 KTM Duke 690 review
I am part of a small percentage of bikers that likes four stroke singles. I like the way you can lay the power down hard and early in a corner with superb feel for what the back tyre is doing. Or more importantly, about to do. I like the direct involvement between every power stroke and the throttle cable. I like the noise they make.
I am however, a bit simple. I must be as it’s the single’s simplicity that I admire the most.
If 72bhp and 70Nm of torque wasn’t amazing enough from just one 690cc cylinder, then its puppy-dog manners and 10,000km service intervals seal the deal.

Think i would consider doing something like this to mine. With black or orange bars. Anodized orange triple clamps would be nice too.

Yeap, snowboarding again at lunch today. Love it.

Bottom of the worlds oldest, slowest and possibly longest chairlift.

Always worth it when you get to the top though. PSP Switch 180 on the way back down. Can see my house from here. And Kiska. Photo from Elvin.

That’s nice. Mellow motocross.
This video shows a little bit of what’s going on out at the Cali moto scene. The footage comes from a few days worth of shooting out there during a mini vacation, as Moto Limelight was able to make the trip thanks to BTO Sports and the hospitality put up by a few guys at Vurbmoto.
